Hey everyone, long time no blog! But today I’m back and sharing with you what I wore on my recent holiday to Can Picafort, North Mallorca. If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen a sneak peek of some of the outfits I wore during my week away but today I thought I’d put it all together into a blog post for you. Who knows, you may even get some inspiration if you’re jetting off this summer- or just basking in the beaut sunshine the UK are currently embracing!
After a very early start and a day of travelling, there was nothing better than getting to the hotel, having a shower and putting my face on! On the first night, I decided to wear this tea dress from New Look. The hotel stated that during the evening the dress code for women needed to be ‘evening elegance’ so I opted for this dress, paired with some heeled sandals and a clutch bag. As it was the first night, I decided this was a ‘safe’ option so I could suss out how lenient or strict the dress code was.
Dress: New Look
Sandals: River Island (past season)
Clutch: Primark (past season)
On the second night of my holiday, I wore my new navy button through jumpsuit from Zara. Although this could be worn alone, I decide to contrast it with a white t-shirt from Primark. I paired the jumpsuit with some chunky wooden block heeled sandals which my Mum kindly let me borrow. These shoes are my new favourites- I think I’ve worn them more than my Mum herself, I’m sorry! I think accessories can either make or break an outfit, so to contrast the navy, I wore some red tassel earrings from Primark and glasses sent to me by the brand Theia London. Side note- if there are any sunnies on the website that take your fancy, use my code ‘CHARLOTTE10’ at the checkout for 10% off your purchase. To further compliment the navy, I used a half a watermelon woven style clutch from Mango.
Basic white tee: Primark
Wooden block sandals: Schuh
Tassel earrings: Primark
Sunglasses: Theia London
This might just be my favourite outfit put together during the holiday- but who knows. Now, at first, I know what you’re thinking, this looks like a jumpsuit, but let me tell you, NOPE. When I was shopping in New Look with my Mum, she found the top and trousers as separates. Being the absolute style icon that she is, she suggested I should wear the two together to create a jumpsuit look. I also have the option of wearing the two pieces separately. I like to call these items investments as I know I will get many different styles out of the two pieces.
I tucked the top into the trousers which created this lovely Morrocan inspired vibe which I paired with some BIG (and weighty) earrings from Accessorize (which are now in the sale!).
Top: New Look
Trousers: New Look
Bag: Accessorize (past season)
Now for a daytime look…
Whilst going out and exploring Alcudia Old Town, I ensured that what I wore was practical for a day out. I packed a sweater. YES a sweater… in MALLORCA?! However, on this day it was fairly cloudy yet humid however, it had been raining during the morning and there is nothing worse for me than being cold so I thought it was better to be safe than sorry. Sweater in hand, I opted for some Primark shorts (bought last year) which have some cute pearls sewn on and a tassel top, giving me all the festival vibes. Of course, I wore my hat and sunnies because even if the sun wasn’t in full beam I needed to milk every holiday minute. I actually bought the sunnies whilst at the market in Alcudia, I thought I’d test out my bartering skills (and failed) however, I don’t think you can go wrong with these 5 euro bargain sunglasses which are now a firm fave!
Top: Primark (3 years old now!!)
Shorts: Primark (past season)
Hat: New Look (past season)
(I just realised my whole outfit is basically Primark but I think that Primark is absolutely great for summer holiday bits. The fact that my summer essentials last for seasons proves that clothing doesn’t have to be expensive so long as it looks nice!) Sorry if you’re a Primark loather.
A daytime look whilst taking a trip to the city; Palma De Mallorca.
Whilst in Spain, the only sensible thing to do would be to take a visit (or several) trips to Mango after all it is the birthplace of my two favourite shops; Zara and Mango. This outfit I bought whilst out here as I had a Mango a stride away from my hotel- dangerous, very dangerous. This outfit I wore whilst taking a trip to the city, Palma De Mallorca. It was a gloriously hot day and this outfit definitely kept me cool. I have wanted to insert some more yellow into my wardrobe and nothing says summer more than a sunshine yellow top and striped shorts! The espadrille wedges were courtesy of my Mum too- it really does come in handy when she has amazing fashion sense AND I coincidentally have the same size feet as her. I mean, not always, I technically am a size bigger but for fashion, I will make the sacrifice of squeezing my foot in!
Before going on holiday I bought this lovely hat which I had spotted at the This Morning Live show in the Oasis stall. I love the embroidered ‘Bon Voyage’ detailing and if you know me, you know I LOVE a good hat- whatever the season.
Espadrille wedge: Topshop
It wouldn’t be a holiday lookbook without a poolside look! Here’s what I wore on the sixth day of my holiday.
Wooden block sandals: Schuh
The Final Night:
The final night consisted of a whole new outfit which, again GUILTY, I bought whilst out here from Zara. I mean it was a must AND if it’s any justification- it’s cheaper out here!
I love this outfit, I’ve had lots of compliments since wearing these paperbag shorts with people thinking it’s a skirt due to the paperbag effect. I love the pearl detailing around the sleeves too. Once again, I wore the sandals as I’m sure you can see, they have been a firm holiday favourite!
Paperbag shorts: Zara
Thank you all so much for reading- if you’ve got this far you deserve a medal! It’s been a long time coming but I’ve really enjoyed sharing with you my holiday outfits!
