My Everyday Skincare Routine

Skincare, we either love it or hate it. Today I’m going to be sharing with you guys my daily face skincare routine using my holy grail products. The keyword being ROUTINE. In order to start having good skin, routine is key!

Disclaimer: This post is in no way sponsored by Liz Earle I just really love her products!

If you know me, if I’ve ever stayed at your house or if anyone has ever asked me about my skincare products, 2 holy grail words will come out of my mouth: LIZ EARLE. I am not exaggerating when I tell you, I have used Liz Earle for over 10 years now. My mum introduced me to her skincare products when I was in primary school and I have NEVER looked back. Call me boring, call me unadventurous, but her products do wonders for my skin and I can’t bring myself to look anywhere else.

Liz Earle products are naturally active meaning the ingredients have been extracted from natural sources, with no harsh chemicals, alcohol free and are not tested on animals- what’s not to love?! I will link any products to her website but you can also get them from Boots.

Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Let’s talk about cleanse and polish. I use this every morning and every night. I use it in a morning to generally just wash my face and then at night to take my make up off. NOTE: I NEVER use face wipes, I never have and I never will- I don’t think I even have a packet in the house. I just can’t stand the thought of smudging all the make-up across my face and essentially not removing it thoroughly.

How I use it:

1 pump in the morning

1-2 pumps in the evening to ensure all make-up has been removed

The cleanse and polish comes with two pure cotton cloth which helps exfoliate the skin and helps give a deep cleanse, removing all dirt and make-up.

I love the cocoa butter (one of my fave ingredients) to smooth my face. Other ingredients rosemary, chamomile and eucalyptus.

If I’m ever having a bad skincare or have had a weekend in a city, I just wash my face with the hot cloth cleanser and my face always thanks me! If I have had to use a different product, my skin definitely lets me know.

I love how there are also limited edition scents such as the grapefruit and patchouli which come in cute limited edition bottles.

Instant Boost Skin Tonic

After I’ve used the cleanse and polish, I will use the instant boost skin tonic. I usually use this at night time to give my skin a boost after a day of wearing make-up. However, if my skin is looking particularly dull and needing a bit of TLC, I will use it in the morning too.

How I use:

It couldn’t be any more simple, I squirt the tonic onto a cotton wool pad and wipe over my face and neck.

I love the chamomile and cucumber in this tonic which definitely soothes my skin. The fragrance is so calming- it smells like a spa. The naturally active ingredients include: aloe vera, calendula, chamomile and cucumber.

Skin Repair Moisturiser

Moisturising is something, I admit, I am not very good at. However, due to the hot summer weather, I have been consistently moisturising my face to keep it hydrated as the sun really does dry out the skin. I use the skin repair moisturiser after applying the tonic to ensure my skin is fully hydrated.

Eyebright Soothing Lotion

Another reason I use Liz Earle products is because there are different products for specific areas of the skin. I have always been told not to rub or pull the skin down under my eyes as this is a very delicate area. If my eyes are feeling a bit tired or looking a bit puffy, I will use the eyebright soothing lotion to refresh my eye area.

Tip: This is also great to use if you’ve got an annoying eyelash or dirt in your eye that you just can’t get out as it soothes and stops you from rubbing and poking at your eye.

How I use:

I take two cotton wool pads with the lotion on and will lie for about 10 minutes with the pads covering my eyes. This is really relaxing (and I usually fall asleep!) and soothes and calms the eye area.

A few extra things I do to help my skin:

  • Drink at least 2-3 litres a day
  • Get a good nights sleep
  • Have ‘make-up free’ days to allow my skin to ‘breathe’
  • ALWAYS take my make-up off after a night out (no matter how many G&Ts have been consumed) your skin will thank you in the morning!

This is just my daily face skincare routine and I by no means have perfect skin but it’s definitely looking better than it ever has recently! I hope this blog post has been helpful if you’re looking for some skincare routine help. I truly believe that, although the products can be a little on the pricey side, it is worth investing in as these products really have helped my skin.
